troubled wife and mother,
many sorrows pierced your heart during your lifetime.
Yet, you never despaired or lost faith.
With confidence, persistence, and profound faith,
you prayed daily for the conversion
of your beloved husband, Patricius,
and your beloved son, Augustine;
your prayers were answered.
Grant to us that same fortitude, patience,
and trust in the Lord.
Intercede for us, dear St. Monica,
that God may favorably hear our pleas

Exemplary Mother of the great Augustine, you perseveringly pursued your wayward son not with wild threats but with prayerful cries to heaven.
Intercede for all mothers in our day so that they may learn to draw their children to God. Teach them how to remain close to their children, even the prodigal sons and daughters who have sadly gone astray. Amen.

We continue to pray for all our children and family members, especially for the ones on this thread.

My sister have not been at church for a long time. I am afraid she may not go back until late in her life. She is 19 now.

My dad went in for tests and had 3 stents put in. While he was initially waiting on second floor he was in a room with a man who was terminal. While he was there a priest came into pray with the man and asked my dad to pray with but my dad refused, but my dad could see the priest really cared. It made a difference. Then he was moved to the floor for his operation, now he may need bladder surgery. Things are not coincidence it our prayers all our prayers. Amen

Thank you my dad seems to "cheat " death so to speak and thinks he is in control but my prayer is for him to really meet God **before **he dies. Prayers to all for all family members.
 
While I will keep your dad in my prayers, pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for him. and with him if he is amenable.

St. Monica, I ask for your intercession in prayer because i know of the Love you have devoted to your son, and to all of us as sons and daughters of the almighty Father. your heart pours out to those who have fallen away and through the grace of God, is constantly attending to those who have lost their way. St. Monica, please aid us in seeking that all of mankind is reconciled to truth and that through the Grace of our Lord, Jesus Christ. please pray that our souls do not become disheartened but instead strengthened by Him as he is our source of everlasting hope.
