troubled wife and mother,
many sorrows pierced your heart during your lifetime.
Yet, you never despaired or lost faith.
With confidence, persistence, and profound faith,
you prayed daily for the conversion
of your beloved husband, Patricius,
and your beloved son, Augustine;
your prayers were answered.
Grant to us that same fortitude, patience,
and trust in the Lord.
Intercede for us, dear St. Monica,
that God may favorably hear our pleas

I know that your word tells me, that if I teach them whilst they are young even though they fall away, when they get older they will come back. Driven by your truth and mercy.

Lord not my brother nor my sister but it is me Oh! Lord, standing in the need of prayer. So Lord, before I pray for others, Lord please forgive me for any faults of humanness, greed, theft, bigamy, loose sex, Lord any thing I have that would taint these prayers, please forgive me. For how could I pray for others when I have sinned against You my Lord and my God.
