** Dear St. Monica,
troubled wife and mother,
many sorrows pierced your heart during your lifetime.
Yet, you never despaired or lost faith.
With confidence, persistence, and profound faith,
you prayed daily for the conversion
of your beloved husband, Patricius,
and your beloved son, Augustine;
your prayers were answered.
Grant to us that same fortitude, patience,
and trust in the Lord.
Intercede for us, dear St. Monica,
that God may favorably hear our pleas
for all non practising Catholics and those
discerning conversion to Catholicism , especially
those in this thread.
Amen

In Jesus’ name, Father, please return our loved ones to You and the Church and lead them to live the fullness of Your loving will.
Please comfort and reassure all who grieve the absence of loved ones from the Sacraments. Please answer our prayers for them.

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible,
look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us,
that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is love and mercy itself.

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

I think I have finally found the correct thread. I posted a very legnthy story on the “St. Monica prayer for husbands” thread.

My grown daughter needs prayer to return to the Catholic Church, as she now has children of her own that need to be guided in the faith but are only half heartedly directed. She still doesn’t “get it”.

St. Monica, pray for us.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, hear us.
Our Lady of Consolation, pray for us.

JESUS WE TRUST IN YOU.

Almighty Father,
You desire not the death of the sinner, but that he may be converted and live.
Pour out upon us Your mercy and hear the prayers of Your servants.
Soften the hearts of Your children who have strayed from the true path
which You established for their salvation.
They are now forgetful of their duties as Catholics,
and pursue the pleasures of the world.
Grant that they may quickly return to the practice of every Christian virtue,
so that their lives may shine with the integrity of faith,
the fervor of piety, and the ardor of charity.
Restore them all to Your sacraments and the life of Your grace,
through the merits of the most precious blood of Your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ.

Amen

My heartfelt prayers are being said for all those listed who are are struggling with their faith and their families… :signofcross:

Please, if you can, pray for my daughter (17) who no longer wishes to go to Mass with me, go to confession, and when she does go to mass with me has a complete lack of reverence. I’ve tried to speak to her about it but she is very defensive and any more would just push her farther away. She admitted to me lately that she doesn’t really agree with ‘concept of organized religion’. I asked that she at least try to keep the 10 commandments and pray about this before making up her mind. Unfortunately, I think a great deal has to do with outside influences which are more ecumenical and eastern amongst her friends. (sorry for the long post, it’s breaking my heart)

**Prayer for a Loved One’s Conversion to Catholicism **
(Colossians 1:9-14)

O Father, in the name of Your Son Jesus,
and in the power and authority of the Holy Spirit,
with the knowledge of Your will,
I ask that You fill my daughter
and all others who have strayed
with the knowledge of Your will
through ALL spiritual wisdom and understanding.

Enlighten this precious child of Yours, dear Lord!
Teach this dear one to live in a manner that is worthy of You,
so as to be fully pleasing to You,
full of good works, bearing good fruits
and ever growing in knowledge of You.

Strengthen this lost lamb, dear Lord,
with every power of Your Holy Spirit,
in accordance with Your might,
for all endurance and patience,
with joy, giving thanks to You O Father!

Make Your child fit to share in the inheritance of the holy ones in the Light.
Deliver this beloved one from the power of darkness
into the kingdom of Your Beloved Son, Jesus,
and transfer her into the kingdom of Your Beloved Son, Jesus,
in whom is redemption and the forgiveness of sins.

Amen!

Hi Margaret,
I am walking a similar road with my daughter. And yes, it is totally heartbreaking. Cried all day yesterday. Will be praying for you, and all others with family “conversion of the heart” problems. Satan is working overtime.:console:
