Hey everyone:

I’m asking for prayers for a friend that I went to college with - she was recently in a serious car accident - suffered head and back injuries and is currently in an induced coma so that her body can heal. She is responsive to voices/stimuli, so we are hoping for the best. Her name is Kelly.

Dear Lord, please enter Kelly’s body, and heal it quickly, that she may be restored to full health. Bring Your Spirit of Peace to her family, as they must be suffering tremendously. In Jesus name we pray.

Hi KJS … I am praying for Kelly and will bring this intention with me to mass today.
 
I worked with persons with brain injuries for over three years at a rehab facility. I know how devastating such injuries can be for a family, but I also know that each person’s recovery is so much different from another person’s, that prayer is definitely called for, as well as the Virtue of Hope.

Hail Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and Blessed is the Fruit of Thy Womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Lord God, please bless and heal this person, if You so will it, Lord. Brain injury can be life-altering for the injured and their family. Please give them all the virtue of hope for recovery and normalcy. Through Jesus Christ, Our Lord, I pray. Amen.

Father in Jesus’ name please flood Your healing graces and loving blessings.on Kelly as her back and head injuries begin to heal under induced coma. Please minimise her pain as she recovers, but we ask You to kindly restore her to full health.
Have mercy in Your kindness to her and to her loved ones and friends. Please let Your light and love surround them.

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen

We come before you tonight and lift up the intentions of KJS for dear friend Kelly who was badly injured in a serious car accident. Dear Lord, please send the healing power of your son Jesus to Kelly in accordance with your Holy and perfect will. Please bless and grant great wisdom to her medical staff, doctors, and all who care for her in this difficult time. Please comfort and grant courage to the family and friends and help them to pray with great love and effect for dear Kelly. Lord you are the one true God who can do all things, please hear the prayers of your people on behalf of Kelly and help us to understand your will. We often do not understand why you give us the opportunities for suffering in our lives but please give us the grace and discernment to carry out your plan for Kelly and for our lives to the best of our abilities each day.

Dear Lord, be with Kelley in a special way while she rests in her coma. Help her to experience you in a most perfectly beautiful way; and through her kind visitors, may she find special comfort. Heal her body of all injury and do not let her family and friends ever despair over her condition. Grant peace and courage to all involved during this difficult time. I ask this in Jesus’ Name. Appreciate all the prayers offered up - it is truly a powerful thing.

I just got an update about her - figured I’d share:

From Today:
Kelly is making great progress! She’s moving her right arm on her own and making facial expressions. The swelling in her brain keeps going down and they’re continuing to lighten her sedation.****

From Yesterday:
Kelly is starting to be weaned off of the sedation today (a little earlier than expected). She opened her eyes a little and squeezed the nurse’s hand! She’s doing good 🙂
