Prayer for Housing/Job

Hi Everyone,

I thought things were looking on the up and up. I got an apt only to find out that I have to move out two months from now bc my roommate needs the room I am renting for family member with medical needs. (please also pray for him too). I have jumped on ten different couches/apts in the last year because I had been looking for work. I found some employment and then I had gotten sick. I also lost my best friend to suicide…so to say the least, it has been quite a difficult year. I have another intention that I find work where I can use all my talents. I am living off the little savings I have and I am unable to collect unemployment (which I really wouldn’t want to do anyway).

I wondered if someone could also provide any insight on how generational sin might affect unemployment. I read a book recently by a Priest wherein he suggested that uemployment could be a result…and I have been praying diligently in daily Mass for generational healing. It just doesn’t make sense as I have over 10,000 contacts…(obviously I dont know everyone personally), but I have reached out to my close contacts about work. I have sent over 6000 emails in the last month…and it seems nothing has come in. I have done all the networking possible. It’s scary because I only have myself to rely on, so I could definitely use prayers for employment, and perhaps protection prayers.

O Saint Joseph, we pray to you for those who are out of work, for those who want to earn their living or support their families.

You who are the patron of workers; grant that unemployment may vanish from our ranks; that all those who are ready to work may put their strength and abilities in serving their fellowmen and earn a just salary.

You are the patron of families; do not let those who have children to support and raise lack the necessary means. Have pity on our brothers and sisters held down in unemployment and poverty because of sickness or social disorders. Help our political leaders and captains of industry find new and just solutions. May each and every one have the joy of contributing, according to his abilities, to the common prosperity by an honorable livelihood. Grant that we may all share together in the abundant goods God has given us and that we may help underprivileged countries. Amen.

Still seeking prayers…I have not yet housing and not yet found work…it’s now been three months. I have sent pretty close to 10000 emails to probably 10000 people. But, the good news is the prayer life is active. Keep praying my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.
