Prayer for husband and children

Please Pray for my husband, Bill , who is quickly losing his faith and hope. As a man, he feels defeated, having been out of a job since October of last year. Unemployment is about to run out and we have sent resumes and cover letters to everyone and everything you can think of. My children who are 6 and 4 are now feeling the effects. Although we try to present a happy front, we are both crumbling…and the phone is not ringing with any interviews or offers. We lost our car, our home and are living with my mom. We have no savings having gone through it already. Things are getting desperate for us and I have no idea how long I can hold on either. I pray for the phone to ring with an interview or a job for my husband. And that my children can smile again soon. Please pray for us. Pray that we can cling on to our faith a little longer…I try.:signofcross:

I am so very sad to hear of your situation and understand the grief and hopelessness you and your husband feel. God bless you for your courage even so. I leave for Mass in a few minutes and will pray for you and your family.

Lord, everything is under your care and loving providence. So far you have taken care of this good family and kept them with faith, food, clothing, shelter, etc… They are beginning to feel a bad crunch now and are feeling a little frightened. You have a master plan and you know exactly what job you want for the man of the house and exactly when you want him to get it. In the meantime you are giving him and his family the opportunity to suffer the sufferings and rejection of Your Son. I know Christ’s story didn’t end badly. He ressurected on the third day. May this family, now going through the passion of Christ, be soon delivered from their sufferings and receive the reward that comes with remaining faithful to You in the dark night of faith you allow them to suffer. I know you work all things for the good for those who love You and do Your will. May this family remember this. May this family get to Mass and adoration on weekdays - if they can - and draw closer together as a family and closer to You and receive the special graces that will keep them strong and with fortitude and peace during this difficult trial. God, grant them the grace to persevere. Let them know that this life is suffering time, but you will still bless it with what we all need and with love. You know that this family needs money to pay their bills. Help them keep confident in You and be truly abandoned to whatever it is you will for them, even this poverty and dependence on others they are experiencing. They are learning a valuable lesson: that all comes from You and that we are all so dependent on You, like children. Be the loving Father You are and come to their assistance and purify their souls through this trial to make them children of Yours who know their Father does what is best for their souls and salvation and never disappoints. Amen.

O Holy Child Jesus, who shed Your blessings on whoever invokes Your name, look kindly on us who kneel humbly before Your holy Image, and hear our prayers. We commend to Your mercy the many poor and needy people who trust in Your Divine Heart. Lay Your all powerful hand upon them and help them in their needs. Lay Your hand upon the sick, to cure them and sanctify their suffering; upon those in distress, to console them; upon sinners, to draw them into the light of Your divine grace; upon all those who, stricken with grief and suffering, turn trustingly to You for loving help.
