A Prayer to St. Jude

Most holy apostle, St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you universally, as the patron of hopeless cases, of things almost despaired of.

Pray for me, I am so helpless and alone. Make use I implore you, of that particular privilege given to you, to bring visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of.

Come to my assistance in this great need that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations, and sufferings, particularly for those incarcerated in jails and prisons, real or imagined, and that I may praise God with you and all the elect forever.

I promise, O blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, to always honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you.

Amen.

O glorious Saint Therese,
whom Almighty God has raised up to aid and counsel mankind,
I implore your Miraculous Intercession.

So powerful are you in obtaining every need of body and soul
our Holy Mother Church proclaims you a “Prodigy of Miracles…
the Greatest Saint of Modern Times.”

Now I fervently beseech you to answer my petition for those incarcerated
in jails or prisons, real or imagined, and to carry out your promises
of spending Heaven doing good upon the earth…
of letting fall from Heaven a Shower of Roses.

Henceforth, dear Little Flower, I will fulfill your plea
“to be made known everywhere” and I will never cease
to lead others to Jesus through you.

Amen.

Eternal God , in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhastible ,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,
that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent , but with great confidence ,
submit ourselves to Your Holy Will ,
which is love and mercy itself . Amen

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

For those imprisoned, their families, and those that guard them, that they may be kept safe from harm during the incarceration period, and that those that do not yet know God, may find Him,

Lord, have mercy.
Christ, have mercy.
Lord, have mercy.

Our Father, Who art in heaven hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of Grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
