I come to ask for prayer for myself for discernment towards my job search situation. I ask that Lord would guide me into the right direction. Also I ask for God’s healing in my family around this job problem, cause I feel like I’m backed up in a corner against all family who are not really verbally supportive. I pray for God’s wisdom, strength and peace. Thank you.

Remembering you and your family in my daily prayers. God bless.

Praying to the Holy Spirit to give you guidance, direction, strength, fortitude & wisdom in your discernment.

Gracious and merciful Father, please come to their assistance.

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed are thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.

Lord Jesus, my desire to work is itself your gift.
You made me with talents so I could shine Your
Light to all the world. Send Your Spirit to guide me to work that will provide security and joy, and most of all the ability to serve You in love. St. Jude, I do not know where I am going – And so I call upon you in my need. Bless my spirit with the determination to press on. Give my heart patience and fortitude. Help me, dear friend, to know that God’s plan for me is forged out of love.

Amen.

**Grant unto us, Thy servants, O Lord Jesus Christ,
to be protected at all times
and in all places
by the patronage of Blessed Mary,
Thy Virgin Mother.

Amen.**

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Prayer to St. Joseph for the Unemployed

O Saint Joseph, we pray to you for those who are out of work, for those who want to earn their living or support their families.

You who are the patron of workers; grant that unemployment may vanish from our ranks; that all those who are ready to work may put their strength and abilities in serving their fellowmen and earn a just salary.

You are the patron of families; do not let those who have children to support and raise lack the necessary means. Have pity on our brothers and sisters held down in unemployment and poverty because of sickness or social disorders. Help our political leaders and captains of industry find new and just solutions. May each and every one have the joy of contributing, according to his abilities, to the common prosperity by an honorable livelihood. Grant that we may all share together in the abundant goods God has given us and that we may help underprivileged countries. Amen.

**Blessed Apostle Peter,
to whom God has given the keys of the kingdom of Heaven,
and the power to bind and loose,
grant that we may be delivered through the help
of your intercession from the bonds of our sins.
O, Holy Shepherd,
Prince of the Apostles,
pray for us that we may be made worthy
of the promises of Christ.

Amen.**

Been there, done that … celebrated Thanksgiving with Protestants yesterday instead of with my family, so you can see how deeply this kind of thing can cut, but the Lord provided me with a place to belong.

You’re on the right track coming here for prayers … Be sure to check back often, let us know how you’re doing, keep your thread alive, keep asking for prayer … The Prayer Warriors here helped me find work through their prayers when I was unemployed.

And of course keep up the prayers yourself along with looking and discerning … novenas to your favorite saint, to St. Raphael, the 54-Day Rosary Novena …

… and be open to even those answers which you might not expect, which may seem surprising, and which ask you to step out in faith.

Praying for you …

Thank you all kindly for your prayers.

I guess I need God’s strength and perseverance not to give up praying even when you don’t want to. I pray, Phoenix, that Lord would humble the hearts of your family to bring warm relationship back.
