Prayer for my loneliness

Hey all. I know I am not going to be a priest when I grow up. I would tell every one why, but its one of those personal revelations that we are not supposed to talk about so whatever. I used to REALLY want to be a passioniste priest or monk but I got a sign I was supposed to marry. Anyway, Its so hard waiting for God to give me the right person. So prayers please for my loneliness, and that I may be patient. 🙂 Thx
 
Dear Lord, please help this man with his lonliness. You yourself know the effect that lonliness has on the heart. Help him to bear this cross until your will for him be fulfilled. Amen
 
Take the opportunity, to get to know, what it is that you expect your future as a married person to be. Read some books, prepare yourself, as you wait and pray.
From a married person, take this advice. Talk to your priest about what he can advice you on this subject. They prepare people for marriage, help and counsel them through their trials, and sadly hold their hands through their difficult time of divorce. When God makes us wait, we should invest the time in preparing for when the gifts arrive. Make sure that you know, what it is that you want in a life partner, because people fall inlove and fall-out of common sense, thinking they can “change” an adult:shrug: , that right know shows signs of huge issues.
So this is a really good time for you, take advantage of the time.

HUSBAND OR WIFE
O Jesus, lover of the young,
the dearest Friend I have,
in all confidence I open my heart to You
to beg Your light and assistance
in the important task of planning my future.
Give me the light of Your grace,
that I may decide wisely concerning the person
who is to be my partner through life.
Dearest Jesus, send me such a one whom in Your Divine wisdom
You judge best suited to be united with me in marriage.
May her/his character reflect some of the traits of Your own Sacred Heart.

as well as the children it may please You to entrust to our care.
Bless our friendship before marriage,
that sin may have no part in it.

Our Lord went into the wilderness to be alone, without fear. Our God is always with us, even in our loneliness, and our Guardian Angel watches over us always.
 
When ever you feel lonely, just go to CAF…we are just a couple of clicks away…
 
Hello I am new to this forum. It seems our friend is already feeling better after receiving your prayers. Yet I wanted to share my understanding of your feelings for you and anyone else drawn to this thread.

I browsed onto this site due to feeling lonely/discouraged with single life. I have been active busy and happy but recently started trying to be open to dating/marriage. It is indeed a difficult experience at times with the ups and downs.

However, I have met some interesting people and have probably learned a few things already.

I decided I needed to pull back a bit though and strengthen my spirituality and prayer life so as to keep my focus on God and not the people out there in the single world who might distract me…

I’ll review the post above with the suggestions and try to prepare myself as recommended. I also ask for your prayers and support.
