Pleas pray for my nephew who, because of drugs is now homeless and jobless and no longer being enabled by anyone in the family. He finally asked for rehab and now is in a rehab center. He will have no contact for over a month with anyone outside the center, and then will advance to supervised living in a halfway house for a number of months and will have a job. This is not his first attempt to get off drugs, but at that point he still was being enabled by the family (long story). Now he is destitute and desperate and his sisters, grandparents, and parents, and now friends refuse to give him any more money or a place to stay. His outrageous behavior, stealing, lying, etc. because of drugs alienated him from everyone and caused untold heartache.

Like most users, before the drugs he was a decent person, and we know that underneath it all, with God’s help, he can become one again, but that is beyond our power to make him so.
Thank you for your prayers.

Saying a prayer for the nephew ~

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
AMEN.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

†

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

†

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Lord, in your servant, the Venerable Matt Talbot, you have given us a wonderful example of triumph over addiction, of devotion to duty, and of lifelong reverence of the Holy Sacrament. May Talbot’s life of prayer and penance give CB Catholic’s nephew courage to take up his crosses and follow in the footsteps of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

O my God, leaning on your great power and your promises, I hope with a firm reliance obtain forgiveness of my sins, the help of Thy grace and eternal life, through the merits of Jesus Christ my Savior.
Amen
~
Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself.
Amen

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy,
Our life, our sweetness, and our hope,
To Thee do we cry poor banished Children of Eve;
To Thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears.
Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us;
and after our exile show unto us the Blessed fruit of Thy womb, Jesus.
O Clement, O Loving, O sweet Virgin Mary, Pray for us O Holy Mother of God.
That we may be made worth of the promises of Christ.

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name!
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day, our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Praying that the Lord may grant strength and all necessary graces to your nephew.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!
