Prayer for my recovery

Hello all,

I injured myself pretty bad last week. I slipped and fell off a roof ('im a carpenter by trade), tumbled onto scaffolding then fell further landing 15 feet down below on my head and neck. So i broke my C1 Vertibrae and fractured my skull in several places. I spent 6 days in the hospital and they decided not to fuse my vertibra like they do in many cases. So I’ll be wearing an immobilization collar for ther next 12 weeks and having Phyiscal Therapy a few times a week. I’m living with my parents for a time until i transition back to living with my neighbors back home then back on my own in a couple months. I just need prayers for a speedy recovery and that God speaks to me during this time so i can get an idea of what to do next :-p Because i don’t think I’ll be returing to working on roofs. Being stuck mostly inside for the rest of the winter is also going to lead to some intense cabin fever, i am guessing.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal Sirach614. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Sirach614’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

You are already the recipient of a partial miracle, in that you broke your neck AND your skull yet have a full recovery to look forward to.

I have confidence that it will be completed.

Lord, I come before you today in need of your healing hand. In you all things are possible. Hold my heart within yours, and renew my mind, body, and soul.
I am lost, but I am singing. You gave me life, and you also give me the gift of infinite joy. Give me the strength to move forward on the path you’ve laid out for me. Guide me towards better health, and give me the wisdom to identify those you’ve placed around me to help me get better. In your name I pray,

Would you be able to get some type of disability benefits? Praying for you and for your family who will be caring for you.

You are absolutely right. If a friend and his CNA daughter had not shown up 5 min before i fell, it would have been just my older brother with me to help. and he was at the peak of the roof. Im told it took him a bit to get down becuase he was shocked at what happened and wasnt immeditately affraid of falling too. Our friend and daughter came right to my assistance when i fell, and that made all the difference i bet. God sent them there, i would say. Also we were working in a very secluded area and the ambulane only took about 5 min to get there. When im well, i want to go meet the EMT’s and thank them personally.

Thank you so much for everyone elses prayers. another one of my brothers set up a fund and was able to raise close to 10,000 so far to make up for all the lost work i will have any other expenses associated. So that’s my disability assistance 🙂

I’ll tell you what…a broken neck stinks!!
