My sister called me earlier today, to let me know that a good friend of hers committed suicide on Saturday.😦 I couldn’t believe it. He was a devout Catholic, but had depression issues. His son called my sister to tell her. Please pray for this family. They are so sad, and he left no note explaining why he was taking his life. He might have gone off of his meds, one of his kids thought, and/or it could be the economy. He had quite a bit of money in the stock market, but this is speculation at best.

Please pray for his soul, and his family’s well being during this difficult time. Thank you.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Praying for the entire family, it is a stressful time. Amen

Jesus please go to this family who needs You so much. Please give them healing and comfort and help them to grow safely through this terrible time. Please go to this man’s soul at instant of death and lead him to repent and receive Your mercy.

I will pray the Rosary today for Peter. I am so sorry for this famlies loss. You are a good friend to post this thread. Many prayers!

I never met Peter, but my sister said he was such a nice man. A man she had thought of dating, but because of his depression, she thought it might not be wise for her to get too attached. I doubt He killed himself for any other reason except out of depression, and not seeing a way out. I pray for God’s mercy…

Thank you everyone for your prayers.

So very tragic, what sadness. Many prayers for the whole family. May they be blessed with the healing love and mercy of Our Lord.

May Perpetual Light shine on Peter , may his soul and the souls of all the Faithful departed rest in peace. May our Blessed Mother comfort his suffering family and friends , holding them close to the Heart of Jesus.
Lord hear our prayers .

In Christ , AnneMary

Lord, have mercy.
Christ, have mercy.

Blessed Mother, hear the prayers of us all, but especially those of this grieving family. We pray, in a special way, for the repose of the soul of Peter.

My sister attended the service today…they had his remains cremated. My sister also mentioned that his kids ‘ran’ up to her, and appreciated her being there. Peter and she dated for a short time, after my sister’s divorce…but they just remained good friends. More of the story came out today, being that one of Peter’s friends called the police as he sensed something bizarre in Peter’s voice last Saturday, and the police came…trying to talk him out of it from outside. I guess Peter had his house locked up…and wouldn’t let anyone in. I’m surprised that the police didn’t break the door down, but my sister said the reason behind that is because they don’t want to scare the person who is thinking of suicide. Guess it makes sense. But, wow…imagine this scene? Police outside, and he still went through with it. Apparently the doctors were adjusting his meds, so not sure what went wrong.

His kids mentioned that he did in fact leave them notes. So, maybe there will be some sense of closure for the family. It’s jsut so incredibly sad. I have always thought of people who commit suicide, the hopelessness they must feel. That they just don’t believe in a ‘better tomorrow.’ But, there is always tomorrow.

My sister said he was a devout Catholic…attended church regularly. I am so saddened by this, even though I never met him.😦

Thanks for your continued prayers.

whatevergirl, praying for the repose of his soul and the healing of his family.

Praying very hard for him and those left behind. My nephew committed suicide 11 years ago and it is still devastating for us especially his mother. He didn’t leave a note and no one saw it coming. I wish the best for his family.

They will be in my prayers.***

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us, so that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your Holy Will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Amen

***God bless you † ***

We commend Peter to you, Lord.
Now that he has passed from this life,
grant him forgiveness ,
may he live on in Your presence
In Your mercy and love, forgive whatever sins he
may have committed through human weakness.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
