Prayer for self appropriate?

Hello all,
I have been really struggling with a particular issue or two and while I do pray about it, I don’t pray about it during my Rosary. I have considered doing so, but I’ve always prayed the Rosary for others, not for myself. Is it ok to pray for your own special needs during this time?
Thank you for any and all answers, and sorry if this is too basic…I’m a new Catholic and some things I haven’t learned yet. 🙂

Absolutely yes - surfacing your particular needs while praying and meditating the mysteries of the rosary is more than OK.

I’ll pray for your special needs as well.
 
For the special intentions within Ann’s heart, we now pray.

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in Heaven.

and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us.

thank you so very much Catherine126 and Donkey. I feel much better about it now and thank you very, very much for the prayers.

VetA, I just didn’t know if this was too self-focused, where I should be focusing on others. I’ve always prayed the rosary for others and have only heard of people praying it for others, not for themselves.

I have the same problem! I have needs of my own but I find it difficult to pray for myself when others are in far worse condition.

But I know I need God, so I have to offer everything I have to Him. I’m praying for your intentions!

It is hard to pray for myself because I always think there’s others that need so much more (not in the way of forgiveness but rather in illness, monetary, family situations, etc.)
