Prayer For Someone Hurtful

Hi all!

I think the saying is true that throughout life, it doesn’t matter how many nice things people can say- we’ll remember something unkind way more.

I ran into this- this evening- at work. And it’s funny how something emotional can kinda knock the wind out of us, like a physical blow.

Please say a prayer for this person in question- pray that they find joy and a change of heart. ❤️ That they realize the power of words to hurt.

Pray for me, too, that I’m able to just let it go. ☀️
 
I pray that this person is more kind to the people around him/her. May the Lord give you peace of mind as well. Amen.
 
Amen to Drac’s prayer.
The person’s behavior is an indication of their need for us to pray, that whatever in the person’s life has disillusioned, hurt, or made him or her insensitiv or angry, will be healed.
And that CheerfulTabby22 will find healing and forgiveness.

God grant that you will find suble ways to be pleasant and kind to this person.
I’ve known this to gradually change a person’s attitude, but not always of course.

If you have time, and can, and there is a parish. I would go before Christ in the Blessed Sacrament. And bring it to Him. The pain, hurt, and turmoil. Especially if it leaves unrest.

The pains of what people say is like knife. It can stab deeper than a blade. Which people will carry with suffering inside.

I know, people say stuff to me that can hurt. Even today during Confession. I was praying. People were getting irritated with me. Because I was praying. No one did the kind thing to tap me. As I prayed. A few people were getting annoyed with me. They walked ahead of me into Confession.

I was not praying to obstruct going into the Confessional.

People just have no patience or charity. It’s a point of judgement.

What am I supposed to do?

First, when people moved past me, and gave me a disgruntled annoyed look. The fact they can walk passed me, as though walking over me. Alarmed and hurt me. However, when you have Saint Josephine Bakhita in your wallet looking at you. All you can do is reflect on the life of a Saint and a slave. What it must have been like for the countless offenses she took. And that made greater more reflection for me, on the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The many sins and offenses She faces in Her heart everyday!

How then can She parry these arrows of offenses? I mean, She saw Her Son Crucified by Her own people! Mary stores something greater than our hearts can. And that is not only Justice (which is why She calls for Holy Penance), but as well as Mercy!

Mary’s Heart is great. Because, this is the Heart which She was told, a sword would pierce. What about those warm loving affectionate words to hear that one Your Son’s Apostle’s gave Him a kiss? And sold Him to the Sanhedrin to be punished under Roman rule? And to witness Your Son’s death on account of it?! Crushing.

But Our Lady’s Heart manage to hold up. In that She took several offenses. And yet, She also takes many acts of Mercy. She forgives all souls and sinners. That is why She is the good and Holy Mother Who tells us to do a Holy Act of Penance.

The reason Her Heart is hurt, wounded, and offended,. Because, that is where the great acts of Mercy and Love are stored.

Thus, it is why Christ says we must forgive 77 times 7. The Our Father: forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. That is key. Because, it renders Mercy as the ultimate Judgement before God and His Throne. He judges out of Mercy, which is the elevated stance of Love.

Wounds run high, deep, and low. But then again, Our Lady bore the pain in seeing Her Son suffering from a kiss, from one of His Apostle’s. Can you imagine? The hurt, the pain, the trauma, and turmoil that the Holy Mother would suffer, and what it caused? Undoubting.

Put your Heart with Mary’s Immaculate Heart. Be filled with the Sacraments. Forgive. Have Mercy.

Mother of Tranquility
and Mother of Hope,
look upon CheerfulTabby22 in this time
of weakness and unrest.

Teach her searching heart
to know that God’s Love
for her is unchanging and

true human love can only

Thank you all for your kindness and prayers. ❤️ I would say that the power of prayer has been proven!! (Not that it needed to be proven, of course!) - The situation has been happily resolved~

And the person in question has apologized, for their mean words (They aren’t a bad person- I think they’ve been through a lot in life. ❤️ )
