Prayer for son, Joseph

My son was turning his life around, off alcohol for a number of years, catching up with courses, and then got accepted into engineering school.

However, I found out his dr was prescribing an Adderal generic and he had a massive psychotic breakdown a few weeks before St. Joseph’s feast. He has been a very stoic person, who looks like he was not totally upfront about side affects…

With his history, he should never have had this drug. It is addictive as heroin and the worst withdrawals. I wish it could be banned but it is prescribed to so many college kids.

He is demonstrating as well underlying issues as well as bad behavior.

He is rejecting God, Mary, the rosary, Holy Week, Divine Mercy…

There is ‘Adopt a Sister’, and one of the sisters had been praying for him for 7 years, when he suddenly quick drinking and went back to school. She died shortly after.

But now it is the underlying issues and bad decisions that is coming out.

You must ask the desertnuns.com to pray for him! They are cloistered nuns in prayer for others. Go to desert nuns and they are near Phoenix and have been a blessing to our family! They are an “offshoot” from Mother Angelica from EWTN. They pray diligently and have been a blessing to our family. I pass them on for your son and add my humble prayers!

Thank you to everyone for all your prayers.

It has been so hard that,although I have good health, I had to go on beta blockers to sedate my heart and finally am off them.

He was doing so well.

I am really on him with his twirly emails to face underlying issues and bad behavior…and that there are so many tremendous graces this week. If he doesn’t face himself, his bad behavior, his addiction, he will only collapse again. He wants the drug and next time if he were to get it…illegally, it could destroy his mind.

…they speak of pathways…and I encouraged him to ask Christ to block bad and fill all his being and hunger for the Lord. The Lord can totally heal him. But I would think he would have to be vigilant for the rest of his life to avoid a relapse.

He is in the 99.3% in ability, productivity…taught him to read and write in 4 weeks using the Riggs method…

I would also like the contact info for the desert sisters.

When we came to this city, with 3 days to find a house…it had the highest drug and alcohol usage among teens in the entire country…so very very hard to raise a Catholic child here.

God bless you all.

He emailed back yesterday saying he was in peace.

He has this bad wall that is blocking him from his encounter with Christ, but encouraged him about the timing of this event in his patron St’s month of March and he is now approaching Holy Week and many graces will be there for him.

I also re read the prayers and got the sisters’ address in Arizona and sent them a request.

I may also contact Adopt a Sister again to pray for him; his former sister passed away a few months after he got alcohol.

God bless every one of you abundantly! Our children are the extension of our own flesh and blood. I prayed and got inspired that i must be detached from all of this so he can truly stand on his own before God.

Don’t worry too much about that part. It does not sound like a deliberate rejection of God made from a rational brain with full and complete knowledge.

As for the rest, your son is in my prayers, as are you and your whole family/friend network because the afflicted one is seldom the only one to suffer. This novena may help but I can’t seem to paste it as a link praymorenovenas.com/st-dymphna-novena/

I had to go in for a beta blocker to relax my heart and the dr along with tests said it was from stress.

After he was no longer with us that day, my husband went in and his heart is weaker and he is now on additional medication, and Joseph’s brother and sisters are likewise devastated still.
