Prayer for success against resistance

Lord, I feel the drag of inner resistance toward the difficult or challenging tasks before me. May I ask for power of prayer and the intercession of Your Holy Spirit to successfully combat and defeat resistance when it makes its evil presence known. Amen
 
While saying amen to your request,
also a prayer that if the lack of motivation is a stress consequence of all you’ve been through over the past several years, God will give you peace and healing,. May God grant the graces and blessings you desire and need
 
Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on Indymb. Lord, hear my prayer for his intentions and have mercy on the whole world. (x10)

I did pray a decade of my daily Divine Mercy Chaplet for your intention.
 
Lord, help indymb and those amongst us who carry heavy losses to regain strength and purpose to overcome those parts of self that struggle to overcome inertia.
Please help indymb and others who also struggle with motivation, to go ahead with strong purpose, and to find reward despite the painful missing parts of themselves due to losses in their lives
 
Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Dear God, give me courage,

for perhaps I lack it more than anything else.

I need courage before men against their threats

and against their seductions.

I need courage to bear unkindness,

mockery, contradiction.

I need courage to fight against the devil,

against terrors and troubles, temptations,

attractions, darkness and false lights,

against tears, depression, and above all fear.

I need Your help, dear God.

Strengthen me with Your love and Your grace.

Console me with Your blessed Presence

and grant me the courage to persevere

until I am with You forever in heaven.

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and kindle in them the fire of Your love. Send forth Your Spirit and they shall be created, and You shall renew the face of the earth. Amen.
 
Thank you for prayers. Resistance was given a new view for me via the wonderful book “One Beautiful Dream” by Jenifer Fulwiler. In it she she felt the resistance toward embracing her full role in motherhood and a fulfilling family life. She cited another wonderfully short book on practicing one’s gifts called “The War of Art”. This book identified resistance to using one’s gifts to create was a manifestation of the evil one’s doing. In prayer and fortitude we press on to use our God-given talents to create toward the Lord’s greater glory! Peace dear prayer warriors. The Lord be with you!
