I am new to this :
I’ve been praying for my husband who is addicted to alcohol and sex. I found out that he was living a double life, once he lost his job, he was unable to control himself from depression and his addictions. I pray to the Lord that he is a lost soul and help Mike to find his way back home to him. I forgive my husband for all his sins because I know that he is a good person behind these addictions. By the grace of God, God has granted me peace through this nighmare. l pray that Mike will come back to his faith and learn that God and all his family loves him unconditionally. Please pray for this lost soul and help me have the strenght to fight the devil in:thankyou::thankyou:side him.

Love to all

Heavenly Father, you know our needs better than we do, and you see the light in us when we are blinded in our sins. Help us, Lord, to reject all the works of the devil, all his lies, all his empty promises. Lord Jesus, be our strength and our shield, be our rock and our refuge. Rescue us from our temptations. Send your angels to guide us in our battles that we may never walk this desolate path alone.

We ask this in the Name of the One who walked through Hell for us, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
Amen

Dear, sweet Lord, You know the hearts of those who suffer with addictions. You know if they wish to change or not. You know all. Comfort these souls, guide them into Your light. Heal them, and make them whole. Their families suffer, worry and weep for their loved ones. Cry these tears with Your scarred hands, and hold these mourners in Your arms.

I ask for You to help this lovely lady who comes before You day after day, asking You to help her husband. Remove his wretched desires, and make him the man that he needs to be.

As always Lord, may Your Will be done.

Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.

I know what you’re going through. My husband is a recovering addict. He didn’t have God in his life. I prayed and prayed for God to soften his heart. It doesn’t happen overnight, but w/ me being an example of what a person can be who has been given the “gift of faith” … and the Blessed Mother, it’s working. He’s been clean for quite sometime now.

Also, Al Anon helped me immensely. Proud to be a friend of Lois Ws.

You’re in my prayers. :crossrc:

Lord Jesus,You said,
“I have come to set the captives free.”
We are captive and need Your healing touch.
Free us, Lord, from our addictions,
so that we will be:
…free from the cares and worries that stifle our happiness;
…free from sins that cling to us, and to which we cling;
…free from all compulsive behavior
that prevents us from becoming what You, Lord,
have planned for us.
Bring us, loving Savior,
to the experience of abundant life
which You promised.
Amen.

Glorious Prince of the heavenly hosts
and victor over rebellious spirits,
be mindful of me who am so weak and sinful
and yet so prone to pride and ambition.
Lend me, I pray,
thy powerful aid in every temptation and difficulty,
and above all do not forsake me
in my last struggle with the powers of evil.
Amen

All Mighty and ever Merciful Father, Your Son told us to

“Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Father, may Your Spirit be with both this wife and her husband. help her to know that know that matter where she is, she is not lost to You. May her soul be comforted by Your Love and may her husband find his way Home.

I ask this, Father, through Jesus Christ Your Son and our Savior
Amen

Thank you Lord for all these wonderful prayers that are given for my husband and all who fight the battle of addiction. You have truly been wonderful to me for the peace you have given me through this battle with the devil. You have brought me the most wonderful people to support me. You know Dear Lord I will never give up this battle to bring home this lost soul to you.

Dear Lord thank you for everything.:gopray:

Today I pray for Mike, who is going to the Doctor tomorrow for help with his bipolar and aclohol addiction. Let this be the start of him seeing what is going on and that he doesn’t need to hide behind the glass. All he has to do is look up towards God and thank him for all the blessing he has received through his life. God is always there for all lost souls.
This is a battle Dear Lord I will not stop fighting until he see all your goodness.:crossrc:

Almighty Father,
You sent Your Son to save us and to obtain the forgiveness for our sins by the the Blood that was shed on the cross.

Jesus to us, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. Go and learn what this means, ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have come to call not the righteous but sinners.” (Mat 9:12,13).

And through His mercy, he healed of the sick and oppressed that came to Him.

Father, bless the woman, who out of love, seeks healing for her husband in his addictions and in his Bipolar Disorder. May she receive Your Grace and mercy and may her husband be healed of his illnesses.

Father, grant that the doctors and counselors who treat this family be fortified by Your Love and Mercy. Jesus told us that when two or more come together in His Name, that He would be there. Many have come together to pray for this woman and her husband.

Father, always and in every way, we pray to You, the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost
Amen

Here is a link to a page about Venerable Matt Talbot (1856 -1925), a recovered alcoholic who lived sober for 40 years after giving up drinking, a most amazing story.
circleofprayer.com/matt-talbot.html

Quote from this page:
"Matt’s programme of recovery was built around devotion to the Eucharist, love of Mary, Mother of God, spiritual reading, self-discipline and manual work. But he never forgot his struggle with his addiction. “Never look down on a man, who cannot give up the drink”, he told his sister, “it is easier to get out of hell!”.

“Most of the favours attributed to his intercession world-wide are for addicts and their families. Hundreds have been reported. Some day he may be declared the patron saint for addicts.”

“The Holy Father believes that Matt Talbot has been chosen by God as a model for addicts. He was a recovered Alcoholic. It is now known that the rehabilitation programme given to him in 1884 incorporated the 12 step programme of Alcoholics Anonymous. although these steps were not formulated for another 50 years.”

PRAYER FOR THE ADDICTED

God of mercy, we bless You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who ministered to all who came to Him. Give Your strength to N., Your servant, bound by the chains of addiction. Enfold himlher in Your love and restore himlher to the freedom of God’s children. Lord, look with compassion on all those who have lost their health and freedom. Restore to them the assurance of Your unfailing mercy, and strengthen them in the work of recovery. To those who care for them, grant patient understanding and a love that perseveres. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

May God bless you!

Thank you for your prayers. I pray that Mike will find the peace God has given me to fight this battle with his addictions. Life is wonderful through the eyes of all who loves Jesus Christ .

I am a recovering alcoholic and hedonist. Like St Augustine, my Heart was restless until it rested in God.
AA didn’t work for me, but devotion to Mary and her Son set me free.
I will pray for you and your husband.
Be at Peace
