Prayer For the Clergy of the Church

Hi everybody,

  I  think that we need to pray for the Clergy as they have a hard job.  They have  a big responsibility  for those who they lead and the ones their blood relations.  Imagine having to focus on other people's problems  while your father is being treated for brain cancer.  All the clergy have to do this put aside their problems and focus on their "Sheep" they are entrusted to.

Remember Most Loving Virgin Mary

Lord, in your love for the Church, You provide bishops, priest, and deacons as shepards for your people, and you call men and women to leave all things to serve you joyfully in religious life.
May those whom you have raised up as
servants of the Gospel and ministers for your
alters show forth dedication and compassion.
May those whom you have chosen to serve you
as religious provide by their way of life
a convincing sign of your kingdom for the Church
and the whole world.

I devote every Tuesday to priests and vocations. May Our Lord bless and guide them and keep them safe from the schemes of the devil. Amen.
 
I would like to add a more specific aspect to my offering.

Our parish priests’ Dad is gravely ill and not expected to live much longer. I pray for the peace our priest needs to cope with losing his Dad as well as all the demands of being a priest during this very busy time of the year.
 
This is such an important prayer intention!! Thank you for reminding us once again, how much we need to pray for all who have a special calling to serve Our Lord in this way.

This came about as  a   friend's father had brain surgery. So  he asked me to council.   

  I fullfilled my obligation  but it made me aware as I'm just a lay person  how the  Clergy  for all the beatings they have taken for a few,  have to put aside their life and family   for   others. 

 Oh,  and  I discovered how really a spiritually emty person I was at the same time.  My prayers did nothing  until I got people to pray.  

So this is a very important Intention.
