Mother Mary said that many sinners go to hell because they have no one to pray for them. I want to start praying very hard for people in my life…and for sinners in general. Can anyone recommend a particular prayer? Thanks:)

Mortifications are good too, so don’t forget to offer up your sufferings for sinners. The best prayer for what you want though, comes from God through the Blessed Virgin at Fatima:

Oh my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those who have most need of your mercy.

I taught my children this to say with their night prayers:

Prayer of St. Gertrude The Great

Eternal Father, I offer thee the most precious blood of thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen.

The Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary according to the Method of St Louis Marie De Montfort as outlined in the Book True Devotion to Mary.

Our Blessed Mother gave us this method herself and there is no other prayer as pleasing to her.

Forgive me for being a little slow in finding this thread but when I did it caught my eye. I’m reading a book titled “Mary’s Call to Her Loving Children; Devotion For The Dying” by Mother Mary Potter. Mother Potter was born in 1847 and died in 1913. She founded her Order and spent her life praying for the living because when a person dies there is no alternative. Their fate is cast.
Its a great book and available through TAN Books.
