Prayer for the lone

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ

I consider my prayer request to be terribly trivial and sincerely hope that requests which more in need of prayers would come before mine

here it goes:

I have a lack of friends and dislike people in general(pardon me), I am usually resentful and would always find faults with the people around me and have taken them for granted, be they family or friends. Just recently, I was alone for the whole of Christmas and New Year. I find this to be a very crippling problem as many friends have left me within a short period of time. I am fully aware of the problem and was not able to rectify. I hope that God would change my heart and enable me to walk out of the loneliness and help me in the acquaintance of an abundance of good friends. I also desire a good companion. If the will of God is for me to find solitude, may He grant me the emotional fortitude to do it.

Please pray for me

p.s Any advices would be very welcomed as well

O Raphael, lead us towards those we are waiting for, those who are

movements, be guided by your Light and transfigured by your joy.

Angel guide of Tobias, lay the request we now address to you at the feet
of Him on whose unveiled Face you are privileged to gaze. Lonely and
tired, crushed by the separations and sorrows of earth, we feel the need
of calling to you and of pleading for the protection of your wings, so
that we may not be as strangers in the Province of Joy, all ignorant of
the concerns of our country.

Remember the weak, you who are strong–you whose home lies beyond the
region of thunder, in a land that is always peaceful, always serene, and
bright with the resplendent glory of God.

Please pour your love and grace upon Ulric; touch Ulric’s heart so that s/he may be open to seeing what needs to change in his/her life and give Ulric the strength to make those changes. Help him/her to see other people the way that you do so that she may extend her love to them. In the name of Jesus, Your Son, the Lover of our Souls, I pray.

May the Lord give you what you need, to live a full, wonderful, productive life in his love and grace and also the ability to see you, our Lord (and treat as such) in the face of those sent to answer this intention. We pray to the Lord. Amen.
 
Dear Joybearer

It isn’t a ‘trivial’ request as our salvation depends upon practical acts of kindness to others, i.e., love of others. Loving others others isn’t about feelings, the feelings can accompany love, but love is the choices we make, not our feelings.
When Jesus, who is Judge of our souls described the last judgement, (Matthew 25 verses 31-46) the people were divided into two, those who lived lives of practical kindness to others and those who did not. The former had chosen heaven the latter went to the other place.
“Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You; or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and make You welcome; naked and clothe You; sick or in prison and go to see You?” Jesus replies “I tell you solemnly, in so far as you did this to one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did it to me.” “In so far as you neglected to do this to one of the least, you neglected to do it to me.” [Matthew 25:37-40, 45-46]

For his reason, for your sake and for others your request is very important. 🙂

There are probably a number of reasons why you mightn’t trust and feel close to others, and may God help you to heal the hurts that have led you to suffer this isolation, alienation, and lack of trust for others. May God heal the hurts of your life, those things that others did or did not do to make you feel deeply loved and valuable.

Lord, may Ulric know how lovable he/she is to you and how lovable we all are in your eyes. You love us even when we sin and you let the sun shine on those of us who are ungrateful as much as you do on those of us who are good. Your love is pure and freely given to all. Help Ulric to love more the way you do and help Ulric’s light to shine on everybody and for all to see, so nobody coming in contact with him/her feels any bitterness or distance from him/her. Grant Ulric healing and a deep love of you. May he/she love his/her neighbor with this love and keep praying for your love, in order to be able to keep charitable whenever tempted to be uncharitable in thought, word, or deed. You are Ulric’s dearest and best friend, so please help Ulric to pray a lot to you and to develop his/her relationship with you. If you want to share Ulric with others then please grant Ulric some other good friends to love and fellowship with. Ulric’s heart is in the right place: he/she wants to love and be loved and is even willing to be in relationship with you alone if this is your will. Help Ulich deepen his/her relationship with your Trinity so he/she will love generously and self-sacrificiallly, and will be merciful to his neighbor and blessed with true happiness (the blessedness of the saints). Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer. Amen.

I am truly and deeply thankful for all of you that have prayed for me. I am truly appreciative and touched by your efforts. Though God’s answer still seems to tell me to wait. I trust that His will is and always will be greater than mine. Thank you all once again and I offer my prayer to each and every one here that you may never be lost from the sight of the Lord.
