Please pray for His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI. He just turned 81 today.

I know that this case is not as serious as a sick child or a family torn by divorce or a son who has left the Church, but, even the Pope needs our prayers.
 
Praying for the Holy Father today and wishing he has a very Happy Birthday. 🙂
 
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
 
We should pray for our Holy Father every day!

This prayer was on a prayer card I picked up last Saturday commemorating Pope Benedict’s Apostolic Journey to the US:

Lord, source of eternal life and truth, give to
Your shepherd, Pope Benedict, a spirit of
courage and right judgment, a spirit of
knowledge and love
By governing with fidelity those entrusted to
his care, may he, as successor to the apostle
Peter and Vicar of Christ, build Your Church
into a sacrament of unity, love, and peace
for all the world.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Your Son, Who lives and reighns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Amen.
