(CNN) — A 13-year-old girl accused of adultery was stoned to death last month in a soccer stadium in Somalia, witnesses told CNN.

The killing occurred October 27 after the girl, Aisha Ibrahim Duhulow, told officials of al-Shabab, a radical Islamic group that controls the port city of Kismayo 500 km (300 miles) south of Mogadishu, that she had been raped by three men, said Amnesty International, citing sources.

The human rights organization said 50 men participated in stoning the girl, who had been placed in a hole in the ground, as about 1,000 people watched.

“It was absolutely appalling to be there, the girl was screaming and begging for mercy as she was being dragged to her killing hole,” said a Kismayo resident who did not want to be identified out of fear for his safety.

None of the men accused of rape were arrested, Amnesty International said.

Lord, you once said ‘let he who is without sin cast the first stone.’ It is not that none of the crowd threw a stone that gives us faith in your mercy but that you, sinless as you are, did not punish but forgave. Forgive those guilty of this murder, change their hearts and have mercy on on them when the last day comes. Amen

Why do You let your children suffer? Why do You let Satan have seemingly full reign over this planet? How can You stand by and watch this child of Yours be dragged to a hole to be stoned to death, while those who are truly guilty go free?

It feels like we will never know why, Lord. Though, You give us hope in Your Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ! This hope You give us is that Your Mercy is boundless and does not miss a soul! It is this hope in Your Mercy that we continue with our prayers and continue in our faith. All of which are gifts from You.

Again, Lord, it feels like we may never understand You, but all that we ask is that You help us to continue to trust in You. With this trust, which only You can grant us, we pray for the soul of the child of Yours who had the misfortune of living in a country which does not have faith in Your Holy Spirit!

Be merciful, O Lord! Extend the Infinite Mercy of Yours to the soul of this girl! She was not here long enough to get a chance to know You! You cannot wrong her for being born where she was or for even being born at all. She needs Your compassion and Your Love! She needs your warm embrace!

Please, Lord, give even just a grain of Your Mercy to her and bring her home to Your Heavenly Abode! Let her see Your Divine Countenance and give her the strength to rejoice! With this trust we put in You, we here on earth can rejoice because though this girl left the world in a most cruel way, she no longer has to be in this fallen world and she can be with You! Please bring her to You!

We beg also for You to extend Your Mercy to the men who raped this poor girl and those who allowed her to be put to death and those who stoned her to death. Forgive them Lord, for they know not what they do. They have been afflicted by the evil one and they need You to put Satan behind them so they can recognize that they are Your children!

By Your Grace and with our prayers, we place them into the abode of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and in the tender prayers of Mary, our Mother. Please, by the power of Your Most Holy Spirit, swoop them up with Your Love and drown them in Your Mercy! Do not forsake them, Lord!

We thank You Lord, as we put trust in our prayers and petitions that you will hear and answer us! Lord, hear our prayer!

Amen, amen!

I also read this story and it made me sick and angry.

Praying for this poor girl and her family.

Praying for those involved that they will someday seek God’s forgiveness for this evil act…

O Lord, wipe away every tear from her eyes, grant her eternal peace in Your loving embrace. Give us all strength and compassion to forgive the seemingly unforgivable. Help us to be able to pray sincerely for our enemies. Forgive us, too, Lord, for all the times when we have added to the evil in the world through our sin. Protect all Your children, Lord. May horrible things like this not be repeated.
 
Praying very hard for her. God spare us the evil in this world!
