I struggle with sexual immorality. Most of the time it’s a struggle for days and then I give in. The same goes on and on over time. I am asking for prayer(s) to help me permanently end the temptation so I am not in this loop. I feel out of grace when it happens and a few prayers really can help.

Thank you and God bless!

Praying to the Holy Spirit to give you guidance, direction, strength, fortitude & wisdom to overcome your temptations.

Prayer to St. John Paul II

O Holy Trinity,
we thank you for having given to the Church
Pope John Paul II,
and for having made him shine with your fatherly tenderness,
the glory of the Cross of Christ and the splendor of the Spirit of love

He, trusting completely in your infinite mercy
and in the maternal intercession of Mary, has shown himself
in the likeness of Jesus the Good Shepherd
and has pointed out to us holiness
as the path to reach eternal communion with You.

Grant us, through his intercession,
according to your will, the grace that we implore.
Amen.

Lord Jesus, have mercy on this man as he struggles with purity, through the intercession of your Blessed Mother Mary, Saint Thomas Aquinas, and Saint Maria Goretti. Amen.

May God bless you abundantly and forever! 🙂

St. Michael the archangel, defend us in battle. Be our defense against
the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we
humbly pray, and do thou O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the
Power of God, cast into hell satan and all the evil spirits who prowl
throughout the world, seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen

Jesus, Lover of chastity, Mary, Mother most pure, and Joseph, chaste guardian of the Virgin, to you I come at this hour, begging you to plead with God for me. I earnestly wish to be pure in thought, word and deed in imitation of your own holy purity.
Obtain for me, then, a deep sense of modesty which will be reflected in my external conduct. Protect my eyes, the windows of my soul, from anything that might dim the luster of a heart that must mirror only Christlike purity.
And when the “Bread of Angels becomes the Bread of me” in my heart at Holy Communion, seal it forever against the suggestions of sinful pleasures.
Heart of Jesus, Fount of all purity, have mercy on us.
Amen

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Praying for your intention.

Your struggle comes from a desire for intimacy. You seek something good but in a disordered way. There was a young man who struggled with looking at pictures of women. He was in college. He started going to a charismatic prayer meeting. He stopped looking at these pictures because he no longer had the desire to. He was getting to know people on a deeper level than those pictures could provide. He realized his desire to look at scantily clad women was really a desire to really know someone. To get the inside scoop on people so to speak. But the only way he knew was to look at these pictures. But the pictures only revealed a small part of a person and were thus superficial. Once he experienced getting to know people through these prayer meetings where they pray for one another and get to know one another deeply, he found what he was really looking for. He was studying to be a priest btw.

Our Father Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name,
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.

Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.

Praying for you to never ever give up and to your Guardian Angel to protect you. Our Lord gave you your Guardian Angel, so ask your Guardian Angel…

The Memorare
Remember,
O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known,
that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help
or sought thy intercession,
was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee,
O Virgin of virgins, my Mother.
To thee I come, before thee I stand,
sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petition,
but in thy mercy hear and answer me.
Amen.

Litany of Humility
O Jesus! meek and humble of heart, Hear me.
From the desire of being esteemed,**
Deliver me, Jesus.**
From the desire of being loved…
From the desire of being extolled …
From the desire of being honored …
From the desire of being praised …
From the desire of being preferred to others…
From the desire of being consulted …
From the desire of being approved …
From the fear of being humiliated …
From the fear of being despised…
From the fear of suffering rebukes …
From the fear of being calumniated …
From the fear of being forgotten …
From the fear of being ridiculed …
From the fear of being wronged …
From the fear of being suspected …

That others may be loved more than I,**
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.**
That others may be esteemed more than I …
That, in the opinion of the world,
others may increase and I may decrease …
That others may be chosen and I set aside …
That others may be praised and I unnoticed …
That others may be preferred to me in everything…
That others may become holier than I, provided that I may become as holy as I should…
Amen.:signofcross:

In one way or another, struggling against temptation is a life-long thing. May you have found a Spiritual Director by now that has aided you in your struggles. Praying in thanksgiving for graces granted…

Learning Christ
Teach me, my Lord,
to be sweet and gentle in all the events of life;
in disappointments, in the thoughtlessness of others,
in the insincerity of those I trusted,
in the unfaithfulness of those on whom I relied.

Let me put myself aside,
to think of the happiness of others,
to hide my little pains and heartaches, so
……that I may be the only one to suffer from them.

Teach me to profit by the suffering that comes across my path.
Let me so use it that it may mellow me,
……not harden nor embitter me; that it may make me patient, not irritable;
……that it may make me broad in my forgiveness,
……not narrow, haughty and over-bearing.

May no one be less good for having come within my influence.
No one less pure, less kind, less noble for having been a
……fellow-traveler in our journey toward Eternal Life.

As I go my rounds from one distraction to another,
let me whisper, from time to time, a word of love to Thee.
May my life be lived in the supernatural, full of power and good,
……and strong in its purpose of sanctity.
