I’m not, because I did the National Day of Fasting and Prayer that CajunJoy posted about earlier in the week. It was on Thursday and was promoted by a priest. Nothing against Franklin Graham, but I’d rather do the priest-promoted devotions.

Also, Trump is making his official Supreme Court announcement today, followed by a speech at a rally in Harrisburg, and I wanted to watch those, so I’m focusing on that, since there will be a livestream and I don’t have to actually go stand in line for 4+ hours among the Great Unmasked at my age. And of course I will be praying along with the novenas I had already started regarding USA, which I’ve already had to pick and choose and dial way back because there’s so many prayer and fasting initiatives happening I’d have to clone myself to get them all done.

No, because:
  1. My initial introduction to this event was focused around Cahn’s “prophecy” for the nation’s future that would be shared. I don’t buy into those things and especially with the Pentecostal vibe I got from it.
  2. Franklin Graham - he stresses my last nerve, and I can’t stand that he preaches about Jesus (I assume, never came across any of that) and also spouts so much hate and filth.
  3. Mike Pence - no explanation necessary

I am happy so many turned up to pray, but dismayed by the lack of masks and social distancing I saw in that video stream (and I suspect it was the same for the Trump rally although they only tend to show the people sitting in back of Trump, who are all in masks - the ones in the crowd aren’t and everyone is packed in tight).

I am equally dismayed when I see lack of masks and social distancing in any context, including at the political rallies and at the protest marches over Floyd/ Taylor/ etc and everywhee else it is occurring. I have skipped several big events I considered attending in person, because I just didn’t want to be around big crowds standing elbow-to-elbow with no masks. Standing in crowds or lines for hours is a pain to begin with and when you add the COVID risk on top of that, I’ll stay home and watch the live stream - I get a better view anyway, and better restrooms, and snacks available.
