Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

Give me, amid the confusion of the day,
the calmness of the everlasting hills.
Break the tensions of my nerves
and muscles with the soothing
music of the singing streams that
live in memory.

Help me to know the magical,
restoring power of sleep. Teach
me the art of taking minute vaca-
tions~~ of slowing down to look
at a flower, to chat with a friend,
to pet a dog, to lie in the grass, to
read a few lines from a good book.
