Prayer for those fighting porn addiction

I attend USC and I will be going back to school in a few weeks. I want to hear people’s thoughts on this.

In the college dorms, there are quite a number of females that earn money by doing hardcore pornography and they talk openingly about it. Unfortunately, a number of these females are Catholic. The reason I know this is because I have seen them at Mass and watch them receive Holy Communion.

What should I do?

Prayer To Help Those Battle Against Porn

Dear God,

Your grace is all I need to get me through the day. I know I have committed the sin of looking at porn. I know I was enticed by the trappings of the evil that it brings. I allowed this to take over my life and keep me from your blessings. It was your love that brought me back to life. It was your words that made it possible to break the hold that porn had on me. I am thankful for your love and wisdom. Your words help me straighten up my life. The sacrifice that your son made for me allows me to be forgiven of this horrible sin. God, I will do my best to keep my life free of porn. I will educate my friends on the teachings of the church and its stance on porn.

We ask this help Lord God Our Heavenly Father Through Your Son Jesus Christ
Who Lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit One God Forever and Ever

My concern is for souls of Catholic girls who do porn. The lure of porn is strong in the college dorms her in SoCal… the money and glamour.

In the 2 years I have spent in college, I have seen how girls are doing porn recruit new girls in the dorms to get into porn (they can earn money recruiting these girls). In the dorms, you know what girls are doing porn because many are very open about and others, all of sudden have money.

What is very troubling, is many of these girls who are doing porn receive Holy Communion. They have a disconnect. On one hand, they see themselves a good, moral Catholic girls and on the other hand see themselves as glamorous porn stars.

They think once they are out of college, there sinful life is behind them. Yes, they can get God’s forgiveness by going to confession once they have confessed their sins, but it is not that simple. Certainly, they must be in the mindset of never doing the mortal sin of pornography again, but it is more than that. They must renounce their sinful gains, that means the money. Confessing one’s sins is the first step to forgiveness. They must also give up their sinful proceeds. If not, they will go to hell. One cannot profit from sin and get forgiveness from God until the proceeds of sin are no longer there.

What about their future daughters? There mortal sins will always remain for others to see. With today’s technologies, they may see their mothers doing porn. What is next?

As I prepare to go back to college, I am terrified about watching these girls, who consider themselves as good Catholic girls, to down the road to hell.

Father, we ask you to give strength to those addicted, like me, to give us strength to fight temptation. We ask this through Jesus Christ, your son, who lives and reigns with you and the holy spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Lord bless and help those Catholics , Christians and all your children who are tempted by pornography and porn videos and magazines and any type of porn.Lord lead people to be more moral in their lives and in their actions . Lord bless all LORD and let them all be closer to you in heart and ways. I thank you LORD for this and change the way some dress and change the mind of women to not buy the bathing suits of most women and to be dressing more decent. Lord let people understand that there i s a need for all need to be Godly and spiritual and turn away from the fleshly temptation of seeing passion and lust . Let lust and temptation dissipate and be replaced with love, caring and compassion and love for you LORD GOD in all people that are addicted to this temptation. Lord Jesus Christ, you kept your chastity all through your time in the world, showing us the way of your Father’s will. Vouchsafe the promise enshrined your prayer to the father to lead us not into temptation.
