Prayer for unity amongst siblings whilst parents gravely ill

Would you kindly remember families (my own included) who are experiencing bitter memories of past hurts whilst both parents (divorced when we were pre-teenagers) are experiencing severe illness. Please pray for healing of these past and present hurts in order to best help our parents to heal from their present physical pain. Both parents also need their memories healed from past hurts.

I feel so envious of families that are so supportive of one another. We don’t appear to have ever had the ‘true living Lord in our lives’, if we did, how come we are so broken, bitter and find it hard to support each other when our parents need us most?

Lord, please heal the bonds of this family that are so broken. Our families are one of the greatest, if not the greatest, gift You have provided for us in this life, Lord. Please help this one to become whole again, so that they, like so many others, may experience the Divine Joy of familial love. Through Jesus Christ, Our Lord, I pray. Amen.

Let Your light and love surround them, Lord.
 
Dear Lord and healer of our every ill, heal the souls of this family and grant them Your spirit of love and forgiveness. Take away old hurts by gracing each member with the healing of memories and a burning desire to love and forgive each other and move ahead past their difficult past together. May each member be moved to start anew each day with a strong resolution to put the past behind them. Let them live in the present and not dwell on the difficult times they’ve suffered at odds with one another. May they openly, honestly and gently communicate their injuries to each other along with their willingness to forgive one another. Father of all, be a father to your children and unite them in Your love. May the Holy Spirit grace them to be able to see each other with compassionate and open hearts. Amen.
