Prayer for victims of abuse & all clergy who have committed abuse and caused scandal in the catholic church

We pray;

Heavenly Father, we know that the lord of lies strikes the shepherd when he wants to scatter the flock.

Dear God, please send Your Holy comfort and strength to all true priests and religious who are collectively slandered and maligned each day by disgraceful
accusations in the secular, mammon-worshipping media.

We thank You for these, Your humble and true servants, who give their lives in the service of your greater glory and who are also victims of this evil scourge.

Lord hear our prayer.
 
Lord please hear our prayers for all those who have suffered abuse at the hands of those in a role of authority of your church.We cannot know the horrors they have been through and we ask You would heal them emotionally mentally and physically,May they feel Your deep love for each of them.We pray also for mercy for the clergy who committed these acts and brought scandal to the church.They must have mental illness themselves to cause such horror to another person.Lord You know the souls of all involved and I ask for Your love and mercy for all involved.Please guide us Your church members to know how to move forward in the right way to help all involved and to prevent this continuing.Lord in Your mercy hear our prayers.Amen

Eternal God , in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhastible ,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,
that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent , but with great confidence ,
submit ourselves to Your Holy Will ,
which is love and mercy itself . Amen

Dear Father you shared in our horror when these atrocities happened. I know that my personal pain is a drop in the bucket to that which you suffered from this nightmare. Thank you for remaining our pillar of strength through this and all our trials. In the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Lord, others are abused because we turn our backs on your teachings, we turn away from acknowledging you! Therefore, for all the victims I offer this Prayer to St. Mark:

O glorious St. Mark,
Through the grace of God our Father
You became a great Evangelist,
Preaching the Good News of Christ.

May you help us to know Him well
So that we may faithfully live our lives
As followers of Christ.
