Prayer for victims of abuse & all clergy who have committed abuse and caused scandal in the catholic church

Lord please hear our prayers for all those who have suffered abuse at the hands of those in a role of authority of your church.We cannot know the horrors they have been through and we ask You would heal them emotionally mentally and physically,May they feel Your deep love for each of them.We pray also for mercy for the clergy who committed these acts and brought scandal to the church.They must have mental illness themselves to cause such horror to another person.Lord You know the souls of all involved and I ask for Your love and mercy for all involved.Please guide us Your church members to know how to move forward in the right way to help all involved and to prevent this continuing.Lord in Your mercy hear our prayers.Amen

Our Blessed Lady please pray for the church as it suffers form human weakness and sin and for the many victims who need love and support.Amen

I finally cried for Geoffrey Dahlmer but I couldn’t pray for a Priest? The problem is with the power abuse issue. People with power are uniquely challenged and uniquely resented and they need our prayers even more when they abuse that power. So, yes, I do pray, for all victims of abuse and all clergy who have committed it, Whatever they may have done, although they have a special role and special power, they must also have difficult challenges, especially in today’s world where purity and reverence are so mocked and temptation is so blatantly broadcast everywhere you look.
