Saint Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God
cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits
who prowl throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Lord, please hear our prayers. For the repentant heart of those who abused innocents. For those abused that they may find shelter and healing in your Sacred Heart. For the Catholic Church ~ to pray to the Lord our God Most High as we are one.

Prayer for healing for victims of abuse:

Praise to you, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, source of all consolation and hope.

By your Son’s dying and rising He remains our light in every darkness, our strength in every weakness.

Be the refuge and guardian of all who suffer from abuse and violence.

Comfort them and send healing for their wounds of body, soul and spirit.

Rescue them from bitterness and shame and refresh them with your love.

Heal the brokenness in all victims of abuse and revive the spirits of all who lament this sin.

Help us to follow Jesus in drawing good from evil, life from death.

Make us one with you in your love for justice as we deepen our respect for the dignity of every human life.

Giver of peace, make us one in celebrating your praise, both now and forever. Amen.

Prayer for a Priest

O Jesus, our great High Priest, Hear my humble prayers on behalf of your most troubled and tempted priest today. Give him a deep faith, a bright and firm hope and a burning love which will ever increase in the course of his priestly life.
In his loneliness, comfort him In his sorrows, strengthen him In his frustrations, point out to him that it is through suffering that the soul is purified, and show him that he is needed by the Church, he is needed by souls, he is needed for the work of redemption.
O loving Mother Mary, Mother of Priests, take to your heart your son who is close to you because of his priestly ordination, and because of the power which he has received to carry on the work of Christ in a world which needs him so much.
Be his comfort, be his joy, be his strength, and especially help him to live and to defend the ideals of consecrated celibacy.
Amen.

Prayer for the Sexually and Physically Abused

Divine Mercy, I beg of You to protect all those helpless children who are physically and sexually abused, especially by those whose duty it is to guide and protect them on earth. Send down Your enveloping cloak of Mercy and wrap it around these poor children, enfolding them in Your love and protection. Send forth Your rays of Blood and Water to cleanse and renew the souls of those who perpetrate these vile acts of Satan. Let the powerful image of Your Divine Mercy find a way of entering the homes of the families affected by physical and sexual abuse, and as You have promised, may Your graces flow from it to renew and restore them. O Blood and Water which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of Mercy for us, I trust in You. Amen.
