Hello all,
My youngest son was recently laid off from his job in the Oil and gas industry where he has been working for the past nine or ten months.

He is still pretty young (24). It was especially hard on him because he really liked his job as a mechanical engineer but quite a few young engineers were let go due to the state of the Oil and gas industry in the USA. His boss gave him a good review and said that potential hiring companies can call him directly for a good referral.

He has applied to a number of other businesses (some non-Oil and Gas) where mechanical engineers are needed. We feel he will be hired somewhere but I especially pray that he find the right job for him. He is a good son and loves the Lord and attends church regularly. We are very proud of him, He is single and we also pray that he find the right girl because he would like to get married in the future. He’s had a couple of girlfriends but nothing serious.

He is also seriously thinking of moving to a city around 100 miles away where jobs are more plentiful, which is harder on my wife. Please also keep my wife in your prayers as they both adjust to these new developments.

Also, please pray for me to help encourage and help Tim and to be there for my wife, who is taking his possible moving away from our city pretty hard.

As always, much appreciated :tiphat:

May the Lord bless each of you and meet your needs, as well.

Praying for your son to secure employment. Praying for you & your wife.

Praying for your son, his mum and you that you will be blessed by God with all you need.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Prayer to St. Joseph for the Unemployed

O Saint Joseph, we pray to you for those who are out of work, for those who want to earn their living or support their families.

You who are the patron of workers; grant that unemployment may vanish from our ranks; that all those who are ready to work may put their strength and abilities in serving their fellowmen and earn a just salary.

You are the patron of families; do not let those who have children to support and raise lack the necessary means. Have pity on our brothers and sisters held down in unemployment and poverty because of sickness or social disorders. Help our political leaders and captains of industry find new and just solutions. May each and every one have the joy of contributing, according to his abilities, to the common prosperity by an honorable livelihood. Grant that we may all share together in the abundant goods God has given us and that we may help underprivileged countries. Amen.

Heavenly Father please have compassion upon these parents, so concerned about the welfare of their son, and saddened that his search for work and security may remove him to a distance from them.
Father we acutely feel anything that relates to our child, whether young or adult.
Please be mindful of the prayers of Tommy and his wife.
For us parents, the period when our child begins independence can be the biggest learning curve after that one when we brought home our newborn.

Father let all that eventuates be according to Your loving will, as You bless both parents and their son, and all their family. We ask this in the name of Jesus Your beloved Son.

Praying for all of you. God hear our prayers and bless your family.

Our Father who art in heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

DEar God,
Tommy needs help w his family. He is the Father and Husband. It is his place to guide and help those he loves. Please help him guide his wife to help her adjust to her son in his future adjustmemts w a job. Jeremiah 29:11 is a scripture verse that Tim needs to say every day. I have a plan for you. It is for good and not for evil. It has a purpose and a future. Life is a journey and a new location w a new job and a new church may bring a new wife. If it looks like he is settled in the job after a few years maybe you and your wife can move to be nearby. So, God change is necessary. Send your grace to give them strength. “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up w wings as an eagle. They shall run and not grow weary. They shall walk and not faint. Teach us Lord to wait.”
You have them all carved in the palm of your hand. You will not leave them orphaned. So, a new Job, a strengthened Mom, and a sense of peace and encouragement settled in the house. They surrender all to you Lord.

St. Anthony, Padre Pio, St.Sr Faustina and Pope John Paul II continue moving these prayers forward to Jesus who will plead mercy for the family’s needs to the Father. Amen

Thanks to everyone for your heartfelt prayers for Tim and our family in general. Much appreciated, I can already feel their effects, and so can our son.

May the Lord also be with you in your joys and sorrows and help lead and guide you in all that you do. 🙂

Gracious and merciful Father, please come to his assistance.

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.
