Lord, show Irishmom’s son that he needs You in his life. Transform his heart and spirit. Help him to be the mature man he should be. I pray that Irishmom’s son will stay with the job that will help him on the road to providing for himself with dignity. Help Irishmom and family during this difficult time. Give them the grace and strength they need. Amen.

I just realized that this thread was begun almost a year ago. I wish I could report that everything is fine, but really, nothing has changed much. When one thing resolves itself, another takes it’s place. We just can’t seem to move forward. My son refuses to see his part in the failings of his life. I live everyday with the fear of some new catastrophe, waiting for the knock on the door or the phone call.

I feel like my life is on hold and I am not living my life to it’s fullest. His behavior affects everyone in our family.

My heart goes out to you Irishmom and I am going through exactly the same (although probably more trouble) with our son. I think of you and your son every day and keep you in my prayers as we both are strivign to be good mothers and our son’s really do cause such havoc and stress. Like you, our son brings chaos to our lives and all I want is a quiet life.
May God bless you and grant you strength guidance and stamina to cope and may He guide your son to become more responsible in his life and change his ways.

Lord God ,we thank you for granting the son of our dear friend Irishmom this opportunity of a job and we ask that You will bless him , guide him and help him so that he will start to make the right choices in his life .
Please grant strength to his dear mother and father so that they will continue to be the good and loving parents they have always been , and help them to endure all their worries and concerns. I ask Lord that you will help him to realise and be truly sorry for all the discord and unhappiness he has brought to his loving mother and father
Please help him to move on his life now , giving him maturity and a sense of dignity , so that our friend and her family may have peace in their lives . Amen
