Prayer intentions during Divine Office?

Is it proper to dedicate portions of the Divine Office (e.g., a psalm or hymn from Lauds) to a prayerful intention? Or, is this something more appropriate for a rosary or Mass? thanks, and sorry if this is a stupid question or mis-categorized.
 
You certainly could, I guess, I generally just offer up the whole thing when I decide to pray for someone’s intention(s).
 
Is adding other intentions to the intentions something you aren’t supposed to do? That’s what I’ve always done. It’s also what my pastor has done on the few occasions he’s led a group of us.

(If this is what @Tis_Bearself meant/already said, sorry I wasn’t sure.)
 
I presume it’s fine to add whatever intentions you want on top of whatever the official intentions are, for any prayer.

The only time I don’t do it is when a devotion specifically says something like “You must pray one rosary for the Holy Souls, or for the unborn, etc. on this day” or something like that, then it would be my personal choice to just do the whole prayer for the Holy Souls, or the unborn etc. and if I wanted to pray for 10 other intentions I would say a second prayer. But that’s my personal choice, it’s not required that a person do it that way.
 
We add our own intentions to the intention section all the time in the friaries. We add them after the intentions written in the book, but before the Our Father.
 
I was once told by my confessor to pray one of the hours for a specific person, ok I will say my wife.
Fr.Robert Barron states you should have intentions for the hours, and be generous in giving your intentions.
You can even add your own prayers and intercessions to the Prayers and Intercessions part of the hours.
