First … To expiate all the sins I have committed this day and during all my life.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Second … To purify the good I have done poorly this day and during all my life.

We confess to Almighty God
and you our brothers and sisters
that we have sinned through our own fault
in what we have done
and in what we have failed to do
We ask Mary the Blessed virgin
and all the angels and saints
to pray for us to The Lord Our God

O my God because Thou art so good
we are very sorry for sinning against You
and with the help of Thy grace
we will strive never to sin again

We renounce all our sins and are very very sorry for offending You by sinning against You
we humbly beg Your forgiveness
