Dear Lord Jesus Christ,

I thank you for giving unto us, the gift of purgatory.

Without it, surely our souls will be lost, and Heaven will be an empty place.

It is your love, mercy and sacrifice that has placed many departed souls there, an opportunity to redeem ourselves in the eyes of God the Father.

We, humbly pray for the redemption of the souls in Purgatory, that may we inspire and encourage them for their sincere repentance and their renewed fervor and love for you.

And may these souls testify to your greatness and majesty for all eternity.
