Eternal Father, I offer you the most precious Blood of your Divine Son Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal Church, those in my own home and within my family.

To all Catholics:
I am a member of a very valuable little apostolate called “Friends of the Suffering Souls” (FOSS) who are dedicated to offering Masses for the Holy Souls in Purgatory.
Membership is free, and all you have to do as a member is arrange for a Mass to be offered (by any priest, anywhere) once a year, on your birthday. The Mass intention has to be: “For all of the souls in Purgatory, especially deceased members of FOSS.”
The apostolate has been growing steadily over the years, and last year an average of 100 Masses were offered daily with this intention!
You can also enrol deceased persons and undertake to arrange a Mass on the anniversary of their birthday each year, so that their souls too can be included in the prayers.
What a comfort it is to know that when we die, should we end up in Purgatory, so many Masses will be offered for our souls every day! Of course the thousands of souls released from Purgatory by this initiative will be our special grateful friends in eternity!
