Thank You Jesus… Mo has been reading scripture everyday and I believe it has brought healing to her spirit. I just want to Thank Jesus and give Him praise and please pray for continued strength for Monique

Prayer for the Addicted
God of mercy, we bless You in the name of Your Son,
Jesus Christ, who ministered to all who come to Him.
Give Your strength to Monique, who has been sober
for one week. Enfold her in Your love and restore her
to freedom through Your grace.
Lord, look with compassion on all those who have lost
their health and have broken relationships because of their
attachment to the object of their addiction. Restore to them
the assurance of Your unfailing mercy, and strengthen them
in the work of recovery. To those who care for them,
grant patient understanding and a love that perseveres.
Lord, in Your servant, Venerable Matt Talbot, You have
given us a wonderful example of triumph over addiction,
of devotion to duty, and of lifelong reverence of the Holy
Sacrament. May his life of prayer and penance give
Monique the courage to take up her cross and follow
in the footsteps of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Father, we ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer to Saint Monica: Patroness of Addiction and Faithless Children
Blessed Lord, Saint Monica was the mother of Saint Augustine and for many years prayed, cried, and did penances for her son. As a result, he became a Doctor of the Church and one of Her greatest theologians. She is the patron saint of alcoholics and other addictions, and children who disappoint their parents, so I ask her to pray for all those I know who are taking a long time finding a true relationship with You, especially those trapped by addictions. I also ask her to pray for all parents. Lord, give them signs of hope. And I offer up my sufferings as penances on behalf of those who most need Your forgiveness.
