Prayer of Thanksgiving

This prayer request is acutally one for prayers of thanksgiving. My dad is a Methodist minister at a parish of 3 churches (yes, his is actually called a parish and not a circuit). One of those churches has only about 15 members and only about 6-10 attend each Sunday and is on the verge of closing. A lady and her daughter recently moved in to the small town that he preaches in and came to church at the invitation of one of the members. After church, they told my dad how they enjoyed the service and felt he was truly called by God so they offered to write the church a check for two months tithing. They did and when my dad looked at the check I think he almost fainted. It was for over $2000.00!!! For some this may not be much but for a small country church it is a great deal of money. So I just wanted to offer my prayer to God for this gift that he had a part in for a small Methodist Church and pray that more churches receive this kind of love and that even though they may not be Catholic churches, they still minister to people.
