Please pray for DH and I today on our 4th anniversary and for all married couples. I had wanted for us to attend mass together this morning, but DH is ill again, so I just popped in to light a candle. As I walked to the front, I saw a woman there with the 4 oldest of her 7 home-schooled grandchildren attending daily mass and I found myself once again praying for God to hasten the day that DH would make enough money to sustain us and allow me to stay at home full time. I have given up on that prayer for some time and b/c of all the circumstances of this last year, my prayer life altogether has become very minimalistic, robotic and dry.

DH had asked me sometime earlier in the week if I had called his mother to arrange for child care today b/c he thought I wanted to go out to eat. I said no, I had no plans for today. Just feeling a bit like I want this day to just pass the same as any other day, but there are pangs of pain b/c it doesn’t feel special as it should be. DH is not the greatest about celebrating, I am normally the one who makes all of the arrangements and I just wasn’t up for it this time. I just didn’t see any reason to pretend for one day when every other day we’re like 2 ships passing in the night. Anyway, it’s a good thing I didn’t make plans b/c I would have had to cancel anyway which would hurt more than never having made plans to begin with. It is now past noon and DH is still in bed; probably won’t be home till after we’re all in bed and the day will pass without even having seen him at all. Just feels like perfect symbolism for our relationship right now.

We are still planning on attending Retrovaille on my birthday weekend in October. Please pray for us. DH has been doing better in the past few weeks all around and he has made comments to suggest that he wants to care for his health, but he really needs to see the dr once and for all. As sensitive as his body is to his eating schedule and what he eats, I can’t help wondering if he doesn’t have diabetes or crohn’s or something. Just wish he would get diagnosed already so we could get on with treatment.

Thanks to anyone who reads and prays.

Dear Lord, This woman and her husband need your guidance now more than ever, please open their hearts to Your love and salvation…Amen

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come,
Thy will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now
and at the hour of our death. Amen

Praying for you and your DH

Lord, bless this couple on their fourth anniversary. Help them to keep growing and to love generously in their relationship together. Keep them safe from all harm and always centered on you through a life of prayer and through the worthy reception of the sacraments - even should prayer be a bitter battle against drynesss. It is then that you are the closest, Lord, when all is desert-like and you are hidden behind a cloud. May JLCecelia pierce through that cloud with heartfelt love for you and belief in you. She will have done more for her relationship with her husband and for souls (living and deceased) by doing so, by uniting her love to you with faith. Bless this couple and make them whole. Amen.

I will be praying for you, JLCecilia. I truly hope that you may find peace in these difficult times. Always remember that the Lord is right next to you when you feel sad. He will be there to comfort you when you are in need. Please don’t forget that you have many friends here at CAF who are glad to support you.
