You can pray equally for the past as you can for the present and the future. You can ask that from an awful situation in the past great good can come from it, you can ask God to bless and help people you hear of after an event has taken place. You can also offer your past from your conception in the womb to God as the Living Prayer of you life united to Christ Jesus upon the Cross.
Time only restricts the physical and then only to a certain extent, time does not restrict the spiritual.God can bend the skies and bend time as He suits. In revelations it says God will shorten the days, does that mean shorten the physical day or does that mean the perception of how long a day is. I believe it means the perception. Time is perceived, it is of course a reality that is perceived but when you are young time drags and when you are old times flies, when you suffer time drags and when you are having a right good old time then time flies; this is perception of the passing of time.
Time is relative.
There is actually no such thing as time in eternity as all things are in the ‘eternal moment’. All things converging simultaneously in that eternal moment. This gives clues to the ‘vastness’ of eternity because our human mind cannot perceive the eternal as it is but understand it as something that does not have an end nor a beginning and so time does not apply.
An example of this is when we take our past (even just an hour prior to confession if we sin then) to confession and the Eternal Salvific event of Calvary in Christ Jesus heals, forgives and absolves the past recreating the present, the future, the physical and the spiritual in Christ Jesus.
