So when praying do you have to pray out loud or can you pray in your head? Sorry if this is a dumb question! Also I’m struggling today with doubt again please say a prayer for me for peace and faith.

Not a dumb question!!! The answer is both, either, other…

God knows our heart and will hear your prayers as only an all powerful God will, from your heart. But if you ever want to outwardly glorify Him, praying outloud is certainly one good way to do so.

I pray for you through this post and also in slience after this post.

Peace!!!

Cajun thank you for responding to the many posts I make I want you to know it’s really helping me and it’s making a difference in a struggling persons life. I hope god blesses you in exchange for this.

‘How can I ask anything from the Lord and receive it, after committing so many sins against him? Do not debate these matters back and forth, but turn to the Lord with all your heart, and ask him without doubting, and you will know his great compassion. For God is not like those who hold grudges, he holds no grudge and shows compassion to his creation. But if you doubt in your heart, you will never receive anything you have requested. Those who doubt God are of two minds, and they obtain none of their requests. But those who are mature in faith ask all things, confident in the Lord. But if you become disheartened and doubleminded while making your request, blame yourself and not the one who gives to you. Be on the alert against this doublemindedness, for it is evil and senseless, and it uproots many from the faith’… The Shepherd of Hermas

Thank you. Does that mean because I am praying in a state where I am struggling with gods existence that my prayer isn’t worth it? I’m praying to hopefully have faith rekindled and belief! I’m trying to fervently pray each day too! Thank you for taking the time to respond.

Of course it is worth it. The Lord knows there are many kinds of people at different sates. Jesus praised the Centurion for his great faith even not having met Jesus and reproached St Peter for his little faith when he started sinking. Yet St Peter improved his faith beyond measure.
