I would like to again thank everyone for your prayers and support. I have a long road ahead of me regarding these loans. Everyday I see myself in the monastery - I see the halls, the Chapel, the kitchen, the gardens. I can see each of my Sisters faces. I remember their gifts and different personalities. And now that I am faithfully back in the Catholic Church I can fully see my life with them in prayer - each day before the tabernacle - in His Presence praying for each heart in the world to have eyes to see and ears to hear. I do not know if I will ever be graced with being able to go home to the monastery. But for now I rejoice that I am back with the Eucharist and His people in this way. I look to Him that is hope fulfilled. I pray God uses my life here where I am today and now and may God make way for all those with a religious vocation to fulfill it in His perfect time.
God bless each of you.

Which Poor Clare monastery do you feel called to? I am familiar with a couple of them in the US.

They have a beautiful community – just looked at their website. 😄

We have Poor Clares here in Denver, but the community I applied to was in Cleveland, OH. Decades ago, I read the book A Right To Be Merry about the foundation of the Poor Clare monastery in Roswell, NM. I exchanged a letter or two with their abbess before going to Cleveland for a visit.

Just love the Poor Clares. ❤️ Praying it all works out for you!

Given your vocation story, and your attraction to the Franciscan charism, have you thought about the Sisters of the Atonement? They were founded by a convert from Anglicanism (Mother Lurana White), and their special prayer is that “All may be one” (AtONEment). They were the founders of the Prayer for Christian Unity. These are not contemplatives, but they have a strong prayer life.

Thank you very much for the suggestion! I have found my community though 🙂 There are so many beautiful communities that I would love but this is where the Holy Spirit has led me and I am over the moon about it. It’s where I belong. So now for the loans 🙂
