Prayer Request for Boy with Cancer

A student of mine who will be going into 6th grade at our local Catholic school has just found out that he has cancer, multiple masses. He is at MD Anderson in Houston and the doctors are hopeful he will respond to the treatments. His name is Danny. Thank you so much for your prayers. Let’s ask God for a miracle.

Danny is responding to the first round of chemo…he has not gotten sick and his tumors are shrinking! Praise be to God!!

Thank you to all who are praying for Danny. I know with Jesus by our side, all things are possible. He will continue to have chemo for at least 3 months, so please continue to pray for his strength and for that of his parents.

I have praise worthy news!

All of Danny’s tumors have disappeared except for one behind his heart. This one is smaller, but not gone.

Please keep praying for Danny and for his strength and the strength of his parents.

I will pray for Danny.

I myself lost a 15-year-old friend to brain cancer; it was (and is) very hard to cope with, realizing that they’re so young.

One of the things that keeps me strong in dealing with it is knowing that he’s in Heaven with God now, and is watching over me.

I will pray that this tumor also will disappear through God’s healing touch!
 
Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the sick, we turn to you in this time of illness. Comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrw with your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden. Dear God, we place our worries in your hands. We place our sick under your care and humbly ask that you restore your servant to health again. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge your holy will and know that whatsoever you do, you do for the love of us… AMEN
