Almighty Father,
grant that everyone dying today, especially relatives, friends, and CAF members and guests, may be covered with your grace and mercy. Through your grace, may they pass their final test at this decisive moment of their life, and safely cross over to eternity as your friends.

*Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.*

O Virgin Mary, dear Mother and Refuge of sinners, intercede for the dying.

St. Joseph, patron of the dying, obtain for everyone dying today the grace of final perseverance.

St. Michael, the Archangel, protect everyone dying today.

St. Faustina, pray for the dying.

Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, may you prepare everyone dying today, to meet our Lord as a Friend, just as you did when you lived on earth. Amen.

Merciful Lord, deign to accept our prayers, and allow them to accompany everyone dying today throughout the world, not only at the decisive moment of their death, but also for the next 40 days thereafter. Thank you, Lord, for your Love and Mercy. Amen.

Eternal rest grant unto the poor souls, O Lord,
And let perpetual light shine upon them.
May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

O most beautiful Flower of Mount Carmel, Fruitful Vine, Splendor of Heaven,
* who brought forth the Son of God, still remaining a Virgin, assist us in this necessity.*
O Star of the Sea, help us, and show us that you are our Mother.
O Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and earth,
* we humbly ask you from the depths of our heart to help us in this necessity.** There are none who can withstand your power.*
O show us that you are our Mother.
O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.
Sweet Mother, we place this cause in your hands. Amen

  • Divine Heart of Jesus, convert sinners, save the dying, deliver the holy souls in purgatory.
  • My Jesus, mercy!
  • My sweetest Jesus, be not my Judge, but my Savior.
  • We adore and praise Thee, most holy Lord Jesus Christ, because by Thy holy cross Thou hast redeemed the world.
  • O Good Jesus, shelter me from the evil one, shed Thy dew upon me to calm my soul, and dwell in me fully, that I may wholly love Thee.
  • Lord, I fear Your justice; I implore Your mercy. Do not deliver me to everlasting pains, but grant that I may possess You in eternal joys.
  • Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me.
  • Lamb of God, who takest away the sins of the world, grant us Your peace.
  • Lord Jesus, through Your infant cries when You were born for me in the manger; through Your tears when You died for me on the Cross; through Your love as You live for me in the tabernacle, have mercy on me and save me.
  • Mother of mercy, pray for us.
Amen.

Eternal God , in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhastible ,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,
that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent , but with great confidence ,
submit ourselves to Your Holy Will ,
which is love and mercy itself . Amen

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

Eternal God in whom mercy is endless, and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us, and increase your mercy in us, that in difficult moments, we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace.
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

I pray for those who will die today:
For those who love and follow you: may they die in peace with your name on their lips.
For those who have never heard your name: may your word be spoken unto them.
For those who have lived ignoring you: may they turn to you now in hope.
For those who have rejected you: have mercy on their souls.

Prayers for a Dying Person

Almighty, everlasting God, who art nigh to help all that are in danger and necessity, we beseech thee, in deep humility, that thou wouldest come to help this thy servant in his extreme need; strengthen him in his death agony, and convey his soul into everlasting happiness.

Look, O most merciful Creator, with the eye of pity upon our dying brother, and comfort the soul which thou hast made; that being cleansed from all its sins, it may be received into eternal glory.

Merciful God, who lovest the souls of men, and for their good dost chasten them with temporal punishment, we beseech thee let thy fatherly love and divine consolation be imparted to the soul of thy servant, now wrestling with the pangs of death; that being purified at his decease, he may be borne by the hands of holy angels to thee, his Creator.

O God, receive thy servant into the dwelling-place of joy, as he hath hoped, trusting in thy mercy. Amen.

Prayer for Mercy for the Dying

O Merciful Jesus, Lover of Souls,
I beseech You,
by the agony of Your Most Sacred Heart
and by the sorrows of Your Immaculate Mother,
wash clean in Your Blood
the sinners of the whole world
who are now in their final agony
but especially those on their way
to eternal damnation
and who are to die this day.

Heart of Jesus,
Who suffered death’s agony,
I beg You have mercy
on these poor souls.

Amen.
