Eternal God in whom mercy is endless, and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us, and increase your mercy in us, that in difficult moments, we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself. grant that everyone dying today, especially relatives, friends, and CAF members and guests, may be covered with your grace and mercy. Through your grace, may they pass their final test at this decisive moment of their life, and safely cross over to eternity as your friends.

*Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

Prayers for a Dying Person

Almighty, everlasting God, who art nigh to help all that are in danger and necessity, we beseech thee, in deep humility, that thou wouldest come to help this thy servant in his extreme need; strengthen him in his death agony, and convey his soul into everlasting happiness.

Look, O most merciful Creator, with the eye of pity upon our dying brother, and comfort the soul which thou hast made; that being cleansed from all its sins, it may be received into eternal glory.

Merciful God, who lovest the souls of men, and for their good dost chasten them with temporal punishment, we beseech thee let thy fatherly love and divine consolation be imparted to the soul of thy servant, now wrestling with the pangs of death; that being purified at his decease, he may be borne by the hands of holy angels to thee, his Creator.

O God, receive thy servant into the dwelling-place of joy, as he hath hoped, trusting in thy mercy. Amen.

who are to die this day.

Remember most especially the soul I spiritually adopt
with the intention of entrusting him or her to Your Shepherd’s care:
I beseech You for the grace to move this sinner, who is in
danger of going to Hell, to repent. I ask this because of my

If it should please Your Majesty to send me a suffering this day
