Prayer request for friend who suffered a serious fall

I found out this week that the husband of my good friend fell last Sunday and hit his head and was in critical condition. They operated on bleeding occurring around the brain, but determined there was also bleeding around the brain stem.
The prognosis was grim, but yesterday the ventilator was removed and he was able to breathe on his own and he regained consciousness! He tried to talk.
Please pray for my friend’s husband.

Dear Jesus, in Your name please help this man to recover from his injury. Please guide his doctors to provide the best care and restore him to health. Please help his wife and loved ones to be strong and helpful during his recovery. Heavenly Physician, thank you in advance for taking care of this man whom we entrust to your loving hands. Amen.

I just got an update from my friend and she said today her husband is signaling yes or no using his thumb.

Prayer for the Sick

God of hope and healing,
Be with those whose bodies burn with fever, rage

those whose minds and emotions face the wait of

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (7_Sorrows’s friend). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into 7_Sorrows’s friend body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

I spoke with my friend today and she said her husband has not been as alert today,
however, they are moving him out of ICU
to a step down unit. I told her he was alert so much yesterday, that he needs more rest today. He will have good days and not so good days I reminded her.
His head and brain need time to heal.
In no way is he out of the woods. But he is breathing on his own and is in a better place than he was on Wednesday.

My friend reported today that his condition remains unchanged. He did not wake up today other than briefly opening his eyes once. His vitals remain good other than his breathing is rapid and shallow.
Fortunately, the two days he woke up and was alert was when most of his adult children were there. There is one son and his wife who are remaining with him now.
Yesterday was a week when he fell. His wife says they have DNR instructions.

Praying for God’s will and for his wife to
remain strong throughout this.

Unfortunately, I have a sad update. My
friend’s husband passed away about
9:30 this morning. We prayed last night for God’s will and this was our answer.
