Prayer To Obtain A Favor Through The Intercession Of The Servant Of God,
Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen

Eternal Father, You alone grant us every blessing in Heaven and on earth, through the redemptive mission of Your Divine Son, Jesus Christ, and by the working of the Holy Spirit. If it be according to Your Will, glorify your servant, Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen, by granting the favor I now request through his prayerful intercession:

Please join us in prayer for the healing of Apollo, who has severe sickle cell disease.

I make this prayer confidently through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Please grant Apollo expert and compassionate medical care and bless the treatment he is given.

A clinical research study is being conducted for people with sickle cell disease who are

five years of age or older. The study will assess the effectiveness of L-glutamine in

decreasing some of the symptoms of sickle cell anemia disease. L-glutamine is an amino acid and

can be found in the food we eat.

Thank you emmaraynolds!
I will pass on the information and he can find out more about it and possibly even discuss with his doctor about l-glutamine supplements. If there is no contraindication to his taking the amino acid, then he should at least try it. I found it interesting because the disease itself is brought about by the substitution of the amino acid glutamic acid with valine in the formation of red blood cells in those with SCD.
