Loving God,

The wife of my coworker, Jean, is in the midst of some very serious health problems. We ask for your blessings on Jean, her doctors, and her family as she endures this suffering and receives the treatment and support she needs from her medical team and her family. Please also bless Jean’s husband and daughters as they pray for and care for the dear mother in this family.

Lord we know you love us, and will never give us more that we can bear, we just find that sometimes we can bear more that we wish we had to in circumstances like this. Please bless, strengthen, and grant strong faith and courage to all involved in this situation.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, the Good Shepherd of your people.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal Jean. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk. You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Jean’s body and give her the strength to fight her illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
