This was forwarded to me, and I ask all of you who see this to pray for this child, Joey. Thanks and May God grant us this prayer !

Please join me in prayer for a little boy in Indiana, named Joey Pfohl. He
is about a year and a half, and has Mitochondrial disease, a terminal
ilness. This morning his health has taken a real downward slide. Here is a
copy of the email that his mother sent out. Perhaps after you read it, you
can go to “www.caringbridge.org/visit/josephpfohl”. That is the webpage
his parents opened to keep others informed of his progress. (You made need
to open an account to view it though) If for some reason you are unable to
open an account, you can email me back your well wishes, and I will pass
them on to the family.

"Hey friends. We are e-mailing you to ask you to be praying for Joey. He
is sleeping a lot and this morning when he got up, he was excessively
weak. He continues to worsen. We have paged metabolism at Riley and they
are concerned as well but they fear that it is too cold to try to get him
here (because of the energy it takes their bodies to regulate temps) so,
we have instructions to try here at home. WE are to increase his calories
in hopes to increase his energy by giving him whipping cream through his
feeding tube. Then we are to try to keep him hydrated as well. If he
shows no improvement, The doctor said that he will be admitting Joey
tomorrow. Your prayers are very cherished right now! We pray that God
just brings energy and healing! Thanks much.

Thank you very much for passing the word on. His mother said that
he did get better as the day wore on, but unfortunately last night, while
Mindy was changing Joey’s sister, something she had boiling in the
kitchen, caught fire. Thankfully it was only in the kitchen, but she still
had to rush out of the house with her little ones. She put emergency
ponchos on them, but she ran out, barefoot and in short sleeves. Please
pray that none of them get ill from it.
