Can I please ask for prayers for my eyesight, I’m going for a test on January 19. My dominant eye is the right eye, which is fine. But for a while, I suspect the left eye has become weaker. If I try to read with my left eye only, the text is often blurred poorly defined, depending on the typeface and how tired my eyes are. The vision in that eye seems OK apart from that. 2 years ago the optician was aware of this but said there was no need for treatment as it wasn’t the dominant eye and wasn’t giving me and significant problems such as headaches. Just praying that the test next week doesn’t show any major deterioration.

Praying to St. Lucy for the health of your eyesight & for good test results.

Prayer to St. Lucy

Relying on Your goodness, O God, we humbly ask you, by the intercession of your servant, St. Lucy, to give perfect vision to our eyes, that we may serve for your greater honor and glory. And we pray for the salvation of our souls in this world, that we may come to the enjoyment of the unfailing light of the Lamb of God in heaven.

St. Lucy, virgin and martyr, hear our prayers and answer our petitions.

Through Christ Our Lord, amen.

***Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death
Amen.

Praying for your intentions. Hope your eyes are rested and you can prepare in this waiting room so visiting the eye doctor goes well.

My prayers as I had a bit of an eye problem last winter or the one before. I know it can be alarming.

Lord, please touch Mark’s eyes and heal any of his afflictions, whether physical or spiritual in his entire being. Through this matter, draw him closer to your Sacred Heart. Send angels to comfort him and to guide any medical staff working with him, that the healing pursuit be a sign of the great healing you accomplished on earth on the cross. Lead Mark every joyfully with many graces for faith, hope, love, and joy, all the way to the eternal garden of peace. Quell all dark shadows in this fallen world from his life and ever shine your radiant glory into his petitioning heart. Have mercy, Lord. Our Lady, angels, and saints, pray with us. Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal Mark1970. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Mark1970’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Funny, my name is Lucy! St. Lucy, you who lost your own eyes entirely in the course of your martyrdom, pray that all will go well with this exam. St. Philomena, pray for us. St. Kateri Tekiwitha, you too had damaged sight. Please pray that all goes well, and that the problem won’t resurface. Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen. :byzsoc:

**Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

Amen.**
